Constructed from 73,000 pieces of Turkish limestone and Italian marble, the stone was shipped to India, hand-carved by thousands of skilled artisans, and then shipped to Texas to be assembled like a massive, intricate 3D puzzle—without the use of a single piece of structural steel or iron. Hours of Operation: Generally open daily from 9:00 AM to 8:30 PM.
Darshan Timings: Darshan is the viewing of the sacred deities. The inner sanctum closes during specific times of the day for rituals and the deities' rest (typically closed between 10:30 AM–11:15 AM and 12:00 PM–4:00 PM). You can still view the exterior during these times, but planning around Darshan hours is highly recommended.
Strict Dress Code: This is a sacred place of worship. Shoulders and knees must be covered for all visitors (men and women). No shorts, sleeveless tops, tank tops, or skirts above the knee are permitted. If you arrive unprepared, the staff usually provides wrap-around cloths (sarongs) at the entrance.
Footwear Rules: You must remove your shoes before entering the Mandir and the Haveli. Secure shoe racks are provided at the entrance. Walking barefoot on the cool marble is part of the traditional experience.
Photography Rules: Photography and videography are only allowed outside at ground level. Absolutely no photography or cell phone use is permitted inside the Mandir or the Haveli.
